What is the MTEA?The Montana Traffic Education Association (MTEA) is the state association of Montana teachers and administrators involved in traffic education activities. We speak for our membership and maintain a liaison with local, state, and federal governmental agencies, legislators, the Office of Public Instruction, colleges/universities, local school systems, individual teachers, the research community, other educational organizations, and various private sector safety-related groups.
HOW IS MTEA ORGANIZED? MTEA is led by an elected president and an executive board made up of the immediate past president, president-elect, members-at-large, classification directors, OPI representatives, and executive secretary. MTEA’s strength is in its membership and leadership. ANNUAL CONFERENCE The MTEA convenes an annual conference in a Montana city each spring. The immediate past-president of MTEA organizes the conference with the invaluable help of all board members. The Traffic Education Program of the Montana Office of Public Instruction co-sponsors the conference, helping with agenda development and approving renewal units / college credit earned at the conference. Interested individuals are welcome to attend. MTEA STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
